I. Organizational Compliance Statement

The Miss Milwaukee Scholarship Organization, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to upholding all federal, state, and local regulations governing charitable organizations.

We affirm that we fully comply with each of the following standards:

  1. Non-Discrimination
We do not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, color, sex, religion, age, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, disability, marital status, genetic information, veteran status, or any other factor protected by law.

  2. Non-Political Entity
We are not a political action committee, candidate, lobbying organization, or partisan cause. We do not engage in political campaigning or legislative lobbying beyond what is permitted under IRS regulations for 501(c)(3) organizations.

  3. Non-Sectarian Organization
We are not a religious or sectarian organization. Our programs are open to all individuals regardless of faith, and we do not advance or promote religious doctrine.

  4. Non-Profit and Non-Membership Organization
We are a charitable, educational nonprofit organization and are not a for-profit business, fraternal society, merchant association, or membership-based entity.

  5. Non-Athletic Entity
We are not an athletic team, sports league, or recreational program. Our programs focus on personal development, leadership, and scholarship rather than competition in athletics.

  6. Not a Supporting Organization, Private Foundation, or Endowment
We are a public charitable organization, not a Section 509(a)(3) Type III supporting organization, private foundation, or endowment fund.

  7. Non-Commercial and Mission-Focused
We do not conduct fundraising events or sponsorships for private or commercial gain. All funds raised directly support scholarships, community service, and educational opportunities for participants.

  8. No Grants for Personal or Private Benefit
We do not provide grants for travel, study, or personal expenses outside of our approved scholarship programs. We do not issue funds to individuals outside of the structured, merit-based scholarship process.

  9. Financially Responsible and Compliant
We maintain sound fiscal practices and do not use charitable funds for deficit reduction, debt repayment, or unrelated operational shortfalls.

  10. Legally and Ethically Operated
We comply with all applicable laws, uphold the highest ethical standards, and ensure transparency, accountability, and public trust in all organizational activities.

II. Donor & Partner Eligibility Policy

To maintain our mission integrity and uphold our values of diversity, equity, and inclusion, the Miss Milwaukee Scholarship Organization will only accept donations, sponsorships, or partnerships from individuals and entities whose actions and values align with ours.

We Will Not Accept Donations or Partnerships From:

  1. Organizations or Individuals Who Discriminate
Those who engage in, support, or tolerate discrimination in employment, services, membership, or operations.

  2. Entities Whose Values Conflict with Our Mission
Those whose actions, affiliations, or public positions contradict our commitment to inclusion, education, and empowerment.

  3. Groups Affiliated with Hate, Extremism, or Exclusion
Any organization associated with hate groups, extremist ideologies, or movements promoting intolerance.

  4. Donors Imposing Conditions That Undermine DEI
Contributions that restrict or limit participation based on identity, religion, or belief will not be accepted.

  5. Organizations with a Record of Unethical Conduct or Legal Violations
Those with documented civil rights violations, corruption, or behavior inconsistent with nonprofit ethics.

  6. Entities That Could Jeopardize Our Reputation or Neutrality
Donors or sponsors whose association would compromise the integrity or credibility of the Miss Milwaukee Scholarship Organization.

III. Right to Review and Refuse

We reserve the right to review all potential donations or partnerships and to decline, return, or redirect any funds inconsistent with this policy or our mission. All relationships are subject to review and may be discontinued if new information arises that conflicts with these standards.

IV. Accountability

This policy is approved and enforced by the Board of Directors of the Miss Milwaukee Scholarship Organization. It will be reviewed annually to ensure alignment with evolving legal requirements and best practices in diversity, equity, inclusion, and nonprofit governance.
